About The Position

We are looking for skilled Registered Nurses (RNs), Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) with a minimum of 12 months experience to join our team. You will be sent to our infection prevention and control service sites in Toronto.

Requirements

Graduation from an accredited Nursing Program
Current registration with the provincial licensing body in good standing
Evidence of current CPR/BLS certification
Minimum 1 year experience working as an RPN/RN
A valid RELIABILITY STATUS security clearance (request form and fingerprint form will be provided by Bayshore and full reimbursement)
Previous experience in the hospital sector or long-term support setting

Responsibilities

Provide traveler support by utilizing the skills of observation, assessment, communication, collaboration, supportive counseling and health teaching
Observe and document any traveler conditions and changes in accordance with professional standards
Collaborate with all members of support team to create and modify support plans as per assessment results and traveler support needs
Provide support according to the established support plan and ensure that the emotional, spiritual, physical comfort, and safety of travelers are met to the greatest possible extent; support must be within the scope of practice of a RPN/RN.
Perform routine nursing duties in accordance with company policies and procedures and Standards of Nursing Practice as defined by the provincial licensing body
Adhere to Infection Prevention and Control (IPAC) practices as required in traveler support areas.
Perform specialized nursing procedures for which recognized training and current competency can be demonstrated.
Participate in mandatory and voluntary internal and/or external continuing education activities.
Adhere to Bayshore Policies and Procedures.
Participate in quality activities and continuous improvement initiatives in keeping with the Bayshore Northern Staffing team division’s Quality Management System.
Participate in proactive Health & Safety activities while performing all duties. Is responsible to notify immediate Supervisor of any Health & Safety risks or concerns.
Maintain confidentiality of traveler and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Bayshore personnel.
