The registered nurse is a competent clinical practitioner assisting individuals, groups, and families with health-care needs ranging from uncomplicated to complex and rapidly changing status. As a professional the program nurse demonstrates a caring approach which reflects and incorporates medical expertise across the patient care continuum. Working within the Therapies Team to provide care to patients under the Primary Health Care umbrella. The RN will work closely work with Physical Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Speech Language Pathologists within the RN scope of practice. The RN will provide assessments, treatments, and education to patients based on the referrals received. Assesses, plans, implements and evaluates patient care. Active participation in the model of care that integrates quality improvement principles, lean methodology, best practice, advanced technology and patient family centered care. Responsible for promoting organizational mission, vision and values by providing safe quality nursing care to clients. The position will exist to provide expanded care to Saskatchewan Residents, support the SHA vision of Healthy People, Healthy Saskatchewan, and the mission: We care.
