About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit and coordinates care planning with other disciplines. This is a full-time Emergency Room position at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee, with 72 hours per pay period on the night shift. Cumberland Medical Center is part of Covenant Health and provides acute care services in a family-oriented environment.

Requirements

• Minimum experience: New graduate, within the first year of orientation.
• Valid Tennessee RN license.
• CPR required.

Responsibilities

• Complete nursing history and initiate patient education.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
• Implement a plan of care appropriate to the diagnosis.
• Evaluate care outcomes.
• Problem-solve and coordinate unit and patient care assignments, with supervision.
• Introduce new employees and students to unit routines.
• Demonstrate competence in critical skills and deliver care appropriate to the age-specific needs of the population served.
• Supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.
• Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards.
• Complete required annual education assignments.
• Work toward achieving goals and objectives, and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
