CLIN NURSE I
About The Position
Provides professional nursing care within an assigned unit and coordinates care planning with other disciplines. This Registered Nurse position is in the Emergency Room at Cumberland Medical Center in Crossville, Tennessee, part of Covenant Health. The hospital provides acute care in a family-oriented environment and offers emergency and critical care, surgical services, and other specialty programs. The position is for a new graduate within the first year of orientation; nurses move to Level II after one year of experience. The nurse must hold a valid Tennessee RN license and CPR certification.
Requirements
- Valid Tennessee RN license.
- CPR required.
- New graduate within the first year of orientation; move to Level II after one year of experience.
- Education must be sufficient to meet the standards for the required license and certification; no minimum education level is specified.
Responsibilities
- Complete nursing histories and initiate patient education.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members.
- Implement plans of care appropriate to diagnoses and evaluate care outcomes.
- Problem-solve and coordinate unit and patient care assignments under supervision.
- Introduce new employees and students to unit routines.
- Demonstrate competence in critical skills and deliver care appropriate to the age-specific needs of the population served.
- Supervise LPNs, Nursing Assistants, HUCs, Techs, and sitters.
- Follow policies, procedures, and safety standards; complete required annual education assignments.
- Work toward achieving goals and objectives and participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
