About The Position

St. Luke’s Hospice McCall is seeking a Hospice RN to provide PRN care for terminally ill patients in their homes. The nurse conducts admission and informational visits and manages imminent and some routine visits. Working with the interdisciplinary team, the RN helps develop and manage personalized care plans focused on symptom management, medication oversight, and emotional and spiritual support. The RN also educates patients and families about the care process. The role calls for a compassionate professional who can work independently and collaboratively and has strong communication and interpersonal skills and a commitment to end-of-life care. The schedule is 8 hours on Saturday and 8 hours on Sunday at on-call pay. Frequently scheduled or called-in visits, including admissions, imminent visits, and well checks, are paid at the regular rate. Compensation is hourly and includes drive time, with mileage reimbursement for travel within McCall and surrounding regions. On-call and applicable differential pay are also offered. Daily visit requirements are below state and national averages.

Requirements

Nursing degree (ASN or BSN).
At least 1 year of RN experience.
Current RN license in the state of Idaho.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Valid driver’s license and proof of auto insurance.
