About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will join the Operating Room team in Asheville, North Carolina. The role involves providing patient care in the operating room and working with surgical teams across multiple service lines, including general surgery, GYN, robotics, neuro, orthopedics, plastic surgery, urology, burn care, and trauma care. The nurse monitors and assesses patients before, during, and after operations and helps develop and carry out patient care plans. Variable scheduling is required, call may be necessary, and the nurse may float to other departments as needed. Cerner is the documentation system used. The organization states that it makes every effort to provide appropriate unit support staff.

Requirements

• Hold a Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
• Have a minimum of two years of nursing experience in the operating room.
• Have strong surgical knowledge and experience across multiple service lines.
• Be able to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
• Have excellent communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality patient care in the operating room.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Participate in organizing and preparing the operating room.
• Monitor and assess patients' health status pre-operatively, intra-operatively, and post-operatively.
• Assist in developing patient care plans and implementing appropriate nursing interventions.
