Registered Nurse - Med Surg
About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The role provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and directs and guides patient and family teaching, as well as activities of other nursing personnel, while maintaining standards of care within the Medical/Surgical Unit. The nurse is directly responsible and accountable for the care of assigned patients. The role communicates changes in a patient’s clinical condition to physicians, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic study results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in condition or response to treatment.
Requirements
- Current and valid state RN License.
- Current BLS certificate upon hire and maintained thereafter.
Nice To Haves
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintained thereafter (preferred).
- Previous acute care hospital experience (preferred).
- Ventilator management experience (preferred).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) (preferred).
