Registered Nurse, Nursing Float Pool (Memorial), Nights, 24 hours
About The Position
The Registered Nurse is responsible for planning, delivering, and managing direct patient care using the nursing process and adhering to nursing practice standards. The role uses the nursing process to manage patient care from admission through discharge, appropriate to the developmental age of the patient population. The nurse assesses and reassesses patients, develops and coordinates individualized care plans including discharge planning, and directs, supervises, coordinates, and evaluates nursing care within the assigned clinical setting. The nurse delegates appropriately in accordance with job descriptions and competency levels. This position is in the Nursing Float Pool at Memorial. It is scheduled for 24 hours, with shifts from 10:45 p.m. to 7:15 a.m. and every other weekend and every other holiday. Work is performed indoors in a patient care environment and is considered medium physical work.
Requirements
- Current Massachusetts nursing licensure and registration.
- Current BLS certification, unless current ACLS certification is held; unit-specific certifications and competencies may also be required.
- Thorough knowledge of the discipline of Nursing.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing is highly preferred.
