About The Position

Baptist South is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for the Overflow PCU. The role provides nursing care to patients requiring treatment for medical, surgical, and other conditions, including chronic medical conditions and minor injuries or illnesses. The nurse uses the nursing process—assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation—to address patient needs in accordance with the hospital’s mission. The role also involves organizing and supervising care provided by supportive personnel, coordinating ancillary services, educating patients and their families about disease processes and care plans, and advocating for patients. The position is full-time nights at Baptist South.

Requirements

Required: Associate of Science in Nursing.
Required: Current Registered Nurse license.
Required: Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
RN experience including Med/Surg, PCU, and Critical Care background.
Diploma nurses must have 5 or more years of progressive care experience.
Hospital experience.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS) degree preferred.
1–2 years of cardiac experience preferred.
1–2 years of telemetry experience.

Responsibilities
