About The Position
Mountain Valley Hospice & Palliative Care is hiring an Evening Home Care RN to provide skilled nursing care, comfort, and support to hospice patients and families in their homes during evening hours. The role suits an RN who enjoys working independently, building meaningful relationships, and supporting people through serious illness with dignity, comfort, and respect. The schedule is Monday through Friday, 4:00 PM to midnight.
Requirements
- Current RN license in North Carolina.
- Strong communication and critical thinking skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Nice To Haves
- One year of nursing experience preferred.
- Hospice, home health, or long-term care experience preferred.
Responsibilities
- Provide skilled nursing care to hospice patients.
- Monitor patient conditions and communicate changes to the care team.
- Administer medications and treatments as ordered.
- Support patients and families through education and guidance.
- Document care accurately in the electronic medical record.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure exceptional patient care.
