About The Position

The Day Program Assistant supports people with developmental goals and helps them grow, learn, and live well. The role includes building meaningful relationships, supporting participants’ community involvement and preferred activities, and assisting with goals such as budgeting, exercise, and nutrition. The assistant also helps with personal hygiene and supports individuals who may have behavioral challenges or other complex needs. The position is listed in Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, with a Monday–Friday schedule from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. and pay of $16.00 per hour.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Patient, compassionate, reliable, and responsible.
• Communication, adaptability, multitasking, teamwork, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license and access to a registered vehicle with proof of insurance.

Nice To Haves

• Six months of experience in human services, direct care, or care coordination is preferred.
