About The Position

CoxHealth is hiring a full-time Registered Nurse for its Neonatal ICU at CoxHealth South in Springfield, Missouri. The role provides specialized care to newborns who are premature, have congenital deformities, experience delivery complications, or have life-threatening illnesses. The nurse assesses patients, plans and implements care, and evaluates treatment effectiveness. Daily work includes administering medications, performing complex procedures, using complicated technology, and coordinating care with an interdisciplinary healthcare team. The nurse also comforts neonates and provides education and support to their families.

The schedule is 36 hours per week, from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM on the night shift.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program or an NLN-approved program.
• Active RN license in the state of Missouri.
• Obtain BLS certification within 90 days.
• Obtain NRP certification within the first year of hire.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Effective leadership abilities.
• Valuable time-management skills.
• Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
• Flexibility and ability to work in a multitasking environment.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in Nursing.
• Previous nursing experience.

Responsibilities
