About The Position

Boca Recovery Center is seeking a dedicated, detail-oriented Staff Nurse in Huntington, Indiana, to support clients’ medical needs throughout their recovery. The role is integral to care in a structured, supportive addiction-treatment environment serving people with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The nurse manages infection control, conducts patient assessments, handles medical documentation, and facilitates health-related group sessions while maintaining high standards of care and compliance.

Requirements

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) or Registered Nurse (RN) credential in Indiana.
CPR certification, which must be maintained during employment.
Several years of experience in a substance abuse or psychiatric setting.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work 12-hour shifts.
Must be available to work weekends and have schedule flexibility.

Responsibilities

Ensure infection-control practices and reporting procedures are in place.
Conduct urinalysis toxicology data analysis.
Enter orders for facility clients as instructed.
Triage medical issues and perform thorough patient assessments.
Document client symptoms and health-related complaints in the EMR.
Communicate with scheduling coordinators and doctors.
Lead HIV/Hepatitis and Nutrition groups and complete related documentation.
Attend scheduled staff meetings.
Maintain clear written logs of client activities.
Report significant questions, concerns, and complaints to counselors or administrative staff.
Complete required paperwork, including medical logs, shift reports, and MORs.
Maintain prompt and regular attendance.
Assist with medical training for BHTs as needed.
Be available for overtime if required.
Perform other duties as assigned by senior management.
