About The Position

This is a full-time night shift position for a Registered Nurse in the Inpatient Care Unit at TriHealth Bethesda Butler Hospital. The role offers a collaborative environment with strong nurse-physician partnerships, opportunities to sharpen assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-moving acute care setting, and autonomy to provide holistic, evidence-based nursing care. The position supports professional development, including BSN attainment and specialty certification, and fosters a culture that prioritizes patient dignity, safety, and the voices of frontline nurses.

Requirements

Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required
New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
Registered Nurse licensure
Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs a various stages of the life cycle

Nice To Haves

Preferred membership in related professional organization
Previous RN experience preferred but not required
Preferred certification in specialty

Responsibilities

Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
Develop, communicate, and update individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.
Provide safe, patient-centered care that supports autonomy, dignity, and diversity.
Recognize and respond to emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
Carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.
Administer medications/treatments safely and perform technical skills per policy.
Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to other team members.
Serve as a clinical resource and support training/education of staff and students.
Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to organizational and departmental standards.
Function in relief charge/resource roles as requested.
