About The Position

This Registered Nurse position is for an Inpatient Care Unit at TriHealth Bethesda Butler Hospital. The role is full-time, day shift, with a $5k Sign-On Bonus. The work schedule involves part-time days, 24 hours weekly, from 7:00 am to 7:30 pm, with every 3rd weekend rotation and holiday rotation. The environment is collaborative with strong nurse-physician partnerships, offering opportunities to sharpen rapid assessment and decision-making skills in a fast-moving acute care setting. Nurses have autonomy to apply holistic, evidence-based nursing care across diverse patient populations. Requirements

  • Associate's Degree or Diploma in Nursing required
  • New hires required to obtain BSN within 5 years of hire.
  • BLS/CPR (Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers)
  • Registered Nurse licensure
  • Knowledge, judgment, and skills derived from the principles of biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences to meet complex health care needs a various stages of the life cycle

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred membership in related professional organization
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant acute care nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Preferred certification in specialty

Responsibilities

  • Perform and document initial and ongoing patient/family assessments.
  • Develop, communicate, and update individualized plans of care, including discharge planning.
  • Provide safe, patient-centered care that supports autonomy, dignity, and diversity.
  • Recognize and respond to emergencies and take appropriate clinical action.
  • Carry out physician orders accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Complete assigned care and documentation within required timeframes.
  • Administer medications/treatments safely and perform technical skills per policy.
  • Evaluate patient responses and revise the plan of care in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Supervise and delegate tasks appropriately to other team members.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and support training/education of staff and students.
  • Maintain current clinical knowledge and adhere to organizational and departmental standards.
  • Function in relief charge/resource roles as requested.
