About The Position

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join a combined Labor & Delivery and Postpartum unit. The unit provides labor, delivery, recovery, and postpartum care, supporting mothers and newborns. It is a 9-bed LDRP unit with a dedicated operating room suite and an on-site post-anesthesia care unit (PACU). The nursery has a capacity of 3 beds. The unit averages 35 births per month and approximately 100 monthly outpatient and OB ED visits.

Requirements

• Hold a current and valid RN license.
• Have experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Hold BLS, ACLS, NRP, and STABLE certifications.
• Hold intermediate fetal monitoring certification.

Nice To Haves

• C-section circulator experience is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Manage labor and delivery processes, ensuring safe and effective patient care.
• Provide postpartum care for mothers and newborns, addressing their physical and emotional needs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes OB/Gyn, family medicine obstetricians, residents, and certified nurse midwives.
• Use the TruBridge electronic medical record system for accurate documentation and reporting.
• Participate in procedures such as C-sections as a circulator, if qualified.
