About The Position

Hartford Hospital is actively hiring Registered Nurses (RN) for its Specialty Medical Nursing Units. Experienced nurses, student nurses, and recent graduate nurses are welcome and encouraged to apply. Hartford Hospital is committed to supporting its Registered Nurses, offering automatic enrollment into the Nurse Residency Program for graduate RNs with less than one year of experience. Requirements

  • Current Connecticut RN License required prior to start date.
  • Nursing students can be offered a position, but start is contingent upon attainment of a CT RN license.
  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • ASN Required (Must obtain a BSN within 6 years of starting in the RN role).
  • BLS certification by the American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

  • Care for patients with acute care conditions on Specialty Medicine Units.
  • Collaborate with a team to deliver holistic care to patients and their families.
  • Develop critical thinking skills, delegation, and time management.
  • Practice at the top of their license using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices.
  • Participate in the Nurse Residency program (for graduate nurses).
