UW Medical Center-Montlake is hiring a registered nurse interested in transitioning into its Level IV Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU). The NICU cares for premature and critically ill newborns born at UWMC or transported from other hospitals, including multiple births and micro preemies—babies born before 26 weeks’ gestation or weighing less than 2.2 pounds. As part of UW Medicine, the unit has access to advanced neonatal research and has helped establish national standards for reducing the risk of brain damage and lung problems in premature babies. The nurse will work with an interdisciplinary team that includes neonatologists, nurses, neonatal physical therapists, respiratory care practitioners, pharmacists, nutritionists, other health professionals, and parents as members of each baby's health-care team. This is a regular night-shift position at UW Medical Center-Montlake in Seattle, scheduled for 36 hours per week and listed at 90% FTE. The cohort is scheduled to start January 7, 2027.
