About The Position

Hillsdale Hospital is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Behavioral Health Unit (BHU) to work the 1st shift. This position involves 36 to 40 hours per week, including every other weekend. Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Associates degree or higher in nursing
Valid Michigan RN license
BLS certification
ACLS certification
TEAMS certification (available through Hillsdale Hospital)

Nice To Haves

Mental Health nursing experience preferred, but may consider others with an interest in and aptitude for the field

Responsibilities

Direct and carry out nursing activities for assigned shift
Administer medication assuring consents are obtained on all psychotropic, anti-anxiety agents and antidepressants, and that patient is given medication information
Ensure all discharge interviews and safety plans are complete for each patient
Ensure the privacy and confidentiality of protected health information at all times
