About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) works in Community Physician Group (CPG) outpatient clinics at Community Medical Center, floating among specialties including Family Practice, Surgery, Pain, Pediatrics, Infectious Disease, Acute Care Walk In, and Rheumatology. The RN works with physicians, advanced practice providers, and a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide outpatient care, patient education, care coordination, and triage in a fast-paced, supportive environment.

This is a PRN role with varied day shifts, generally beginning at 8:00 a.m. Shifts are 8–10 hours, with a requirement of 12 shifts in a 12-week period or a three-month evaluation period per year under the union contract.

Requirements

• Current Montana RN license or Compact RN license with Montana endorsement.
• Associate’s Degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited nursing school.
• BLS certification upon hire.
• One year of outpatient physician services (office nursing) experience.

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct patient assessments and triage patient concerns.
• Administer medications, injections, and prescribed treatments.
• Assist providers with examinations and procedures.
• Provide patient education and ongoing support.
• Coordinate referrals, testing, and follow-up care.
• Document patient care accurately in the EMR.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to provide exceptional outpatient care.
