Registered Nurse - 4E, Med Surg
About The Position
Nemours is hiring a Registered Nurse for its 4E Med Surg team in Wilmington, Delaware. 4 East is a 24-bed general, specialty, and subspecialty medical unit caring for a high population of patients who require respiratory or gastrointestinal management. Patient rooms have oxygen, compressed air, suction, cardiorespiratory bedside monitors, and computers that provide access to electronic medical records and support barcode medication administration. The unit aims to provide high-quality, cost-effective, family-centered care. Daily family-centered care rounds support an interprofessional approach and partnership with patients and families. The nurse implements the patient care delivery model for patients and their families and is accountable for assessing, planning, providing, and evaluating care for assigned patients. The schedule is 60 hours every two weeks on night shift, with an every-third-weekend requirement and holiday rotation, including a flex holiday, as needed.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Eligible for a Delaware State license or compact license.
- American Heart Association BLS certification required.
- PALS certification required within one year.
- BSN required within three years.
Nice To Haves
- BSN preferred.
- Inpatient experience preferred; a minimum of two years of experience is preferred.
Responsibilities
