Registered Nurse (RN) - Progressive Care (PCU)
About The Position
MidState Medical Center is hiring Registered Nurses for its Progressive Care Unit (PCU). Nurses have the opportunity to practice at the top of their license using research, innovation, and evidence-based practices. The hospital provides clinical instruction and additional learning opportunities through the PCU Nurse Residency. MidState Medical Center is an acute-care community teaching hospital providing inpatient and outpatient general medicine and surgery services, along with a wide range of specialties. It serves patients from birth through the end of life. The schedule is three 12-hour shifts per week, 06:45–19:15, with every third weekend and every third holiday. The posting notes no mandating or off-shift rotations.
Requirements
- Current Connecticut RN license required within 90 days of hire.
- Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association.

- One year of recent acute-care RN experience is preferred.
