Registered Nurse - Young Adult Unit - Full Time Nights
About The Position
Gracie Square Hospital is a leading behavioral health facility in New York City providing comprehensive, personalized healthcare. Through our affiliation with NewYork-Presbyterian and Weill Cornell Medicine, we are dedicated to improving the lives of our patients and their loved ones through innovative approaches to diagnosis, treatment, and recovery. This is a full-time, night shift (12 hours/7:30pm - 8am) RN position, includes working rotating weekends. The Registered Nurse will be working with young adults, ages 18-29, with emerging psychiatric disorders on a 35-bed unit. You will perform various procedures and tasks that are essential to the delivery of top-notch patient centered care. You will help optimize the patient experience, as you provide support throughout the continuum care and participate in initiatives focused on improving the performance of our nursing practice. Gracie Square Hospital offers a multidisciplinary approach to care for patients with psychiatric disorders who can benefit from inpatient hospitalization. Our diagnostic and treatment programs are provided by skilled behavioral healthcare and management teams for a wide range of psychiatric illnesses and disorders. Our dedicated teams include licensed and certified staff members who create a nurturing, therapeutic environment where patients are encouraged to ask questions and gain a better understanding about their illnesses and treatment. Our goal is to help patients return to their communities to live healthy, productive lives.
Requirements
- Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing
- Bachelor's degree in nursing (BSN)
- Current New York State RN license
- BLS certification from the American Heart Association
- Excellent customer service skills
- At least one year of acute care RN experience in psych nursing
