About The Position

The Main OR Registered Nurse circulates across multiple operating room specialties and advocates for patients while providing safe and effective care. The role requires adaptability, confidence, and the ability to work well under pressure in a supportive, collaborative operating team. The teams use innovative processes and technologies, including expanding robotics programs. This is a PRN position that takes call, with a 30-minute call response time.

Requirements

• At least 2 years of applicable experience.
• Registered Nurse (MO) credential through the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NURSYS).
• Associate degree.
• Able to work well under pressure and adapt to unexpected situations.
• Passionate about nursing practice, eager to learn, and interested in driving continuous improvement.
• Able to advocate for patients and speak up when needed.
• Takes call and can meet a 30-minute call response time.

Responsibilities

• Circulate across multiple specialties in the operating room.
• Advocate for patients and provide safe, effective patient care.
• Function independently and remain accountable for using the nursing process.
• Coordinate care for a group of patients with the Multidisciplinary Team.
• Delegate tasks appropriately.
• Identify hospital resources.
• Serve as a clinical resource for new employees.
• Demonstrate positive formal or informal leadership within the unit or department.
