About The Position

The Registered Nurse provides direct nursing care in the Radiation Oncology Infusion Room in accordance with the healthcare organization’s established policies, procedures, and protocols. The nurse implements and monitors patient care plans, monitors and records patient condition, and communicates relevant information as appropriate. The role coordinates care across disciplines, carries out physician and nursing orders, and works with the healthcare team to assess and coordinate patients’ discharge planning needs. The position is based at UAB St. Vincent’s Birmingham and follows a schedule of 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, with no weekends or holidays. Requirements

Obtain a BLS Provider credential within 30 days of hire or job transfer; American Heart Association or American Red Cross certification is accepted.
Hold an active Licensed Associate Professional Registered Nurse credential from the Alabama Board of Nursing before hire or job transfer.
Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
Hold professional nursing licensure at the time of hire.

Responsibilities
