Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Valid RN license in good standing with relevant state licensing boards.
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Point Click Care ; familiarity with ICD coding (ICD-9/10) is advantageous.
Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, pharmacology, and medical terminology necessary for accurate patient assessment and medication administration.
Ability to respond effectively in high-pressure situations involving urgent care.
Excellent communication skills coupled with a compassionate approach to patient care; ability to work independently while maintaining team collaboration.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience in acute care settings such as hospitals (including ICU or emergency room), nursing homes, or long-term care facilities is highly desirable.
Customer service experience is a plus!

Responsibilities

Maintain current nursing license and CPR/Basic Life Saving certification
Monitor staff compliance to all State and Federal requirements including blood borne pathogens, hazardous materials, infection control, and fire safety.
Record and monitor all progress of residents and communicate with physicians according to facility policies.
Participate in the development, revision, and accuracy of resident care plans.
Ensure that all medications and treatments within the Registered Nurse (RN) scope of practice (i.e. IVs, etc.) are administered as ordered and in a timely fashion according to facility policies and schedules.
Provide management of the nursing care to the residents.
Perform other duties as required.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments, including vital signs, physical examinations, and medical history documentation using electronic health record (EHR) systems such as Epic or Cerner.
Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, and other treatments following established protocols and safety standards.
Monitor patients’ conditions closely, recognizing signs of acute pain, infection, or deterioration requiring immediate intervention.
Assist with diagnostic evaluations such as specimen collection, laboratory processing, and basic imaging procedures when necessary.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans, discharge planning, and follow-up care strategies.
Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with HIPAA regulations and facility policies.
Provide specialized care for patients with complex needs including dementia, Alzheimer's disease, memory care, or tube feeding.
Ensure infection control practices are rigorously followed to prevent healthcare-associated infections across all patient populations.
