About The Position

The Registered Nurse plans, organizes, and administers patient care within the scope of their training and expertise. The role collaborates with other professional disciplines to provide effective and efficient care and achieve desired patient outcomes, in accordance with hospital objectives, policies, and the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act. The nurse helps establish and coordinate the plan of care, assesses patient needs, evaluates progress, applies appropriate interventions, and promotes health and a safe environment. Additional duties may be assigned. This is a full-time night position in the Nursery, scheduled for 36 hours per week from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. Weekends, holidays, and on-call work are required. A relocation stipend may be available to eligible new hires based on mileage. The role requires graduation from an approved nursing program and Registered Nurse licensure. The listed experience level is less than one year.

Responsibilities

Collaborate in establishing the plan of care and coordinate and implement care delivery, anticipating patient care needs across the continuum.
Analyze information relevant to patient care and management to determine nursing diagnoses.
Use the nursing process to evaluate patient progress toward goals and apply appropriate interventions to support effective outcomes.
Employ strategies that promote health and a safe and healthy environment.
Provide patient care in accordance with hospital objectives and policies and the Tennessee Nurse Practice Act.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
