About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) will utilize the nursing process to provide high-quality, direct, and indirect patient-centered care within the realm of dual diagnosis. This role involves coordinating patient care through collaboration with an interdisciplinary team, communicating regularly on the patient's clinical condition, and responding quickly and accurately to changes in condition or treatment response. The RN is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, structured, and therapeutic milieu, employing age-specific behavioral management practices. The position requires demonstrating knowledge of growth and development principles across the lifespan and the skills necessary for age-appropriate care. Additionally, the RN will promote the nursing profession and professional practice through collegial support and interactions.

Requirements

Must be a graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and have a current Registered Nurse license with the state of Connecticut.
Must have certification in BLS upon hire and maintain clinical competency during employment.
Must be trained in CPI and de-escalation techniques and receive certification within 3 months of hiring into the role.
