About The Position

Sentara Norfolk General Hospital is seeking Registered Nurses for their Surgical Trauma Intensive Care Unit. This 16-bed unit specializes in the immediate surgical recovery of Kidney and Pancreas Transplants, complex vascular surgeries, and general surgical patients requiring ICU care. Responsibilities include managing patients requiring mechanical ventilation, CRRT, and hemodialysis. The patient population served is adult medical and surgical patients requiring intensive nursing care, with an average length of stay of 2-3 days, though complex patients may stay longer than 30 days. This is an invite-only interview day event scheduled for September 1, 2026. Full-time night and rotating shift openings are available. Qualified candidates may be eligible for up to a $20,000 sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.
