About The Position

This is a 13-week contract position for a Registered Nurse in a 30-bed Neuro Medical/Surgical unit in South Austin, Texas. The unit has 60 staff members and a fast-paced environment focused on high-quality patient care. The schedule consists of 12-hour night shifts, including four shifts on weekends per schedule.

The nurse provides comprehensive patient care and collaborates with the healthcare team to support optimal patient outcomes. The unit uses advanced technologies and equipment, and has received multiple ICARE awards. Its culture emphasizes recognition based on patient feedback and is supported by experienced staff.

The dress code is navy scrubs. Hoop nose piercings are not permitted.

Requirements

• Current BLS certification.
• IV certification for LVNs.
• NIH Stroke Scale certification.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patients and provide comprehensive nursing care.
• Participate in the assessment, planning, and implementation of patient care plans.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments.
