About The Position

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams, carries out established nursing procedures, and performs related duties as required. Provides nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision, and assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.

Requirements

• Two years of recent adult medical-surgical clinical RN experience in an acute care hospital.
• Ability to meet the physical requirements of the position.
• Multisystem assessment skills to provide pain management, pulmonary and cardiovascular assessment, and management of fluid and electrolyte imbalance.
• Flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• Current active American Heart Association CPR certification.

Nice To Haves

• BSN degree.
• Recent clinical RN experience in an academic medical center.

Responsibilities
