Join the Southwestern Veterans Center as a Registered Nurse with the Department of Military and Veterans Affairs. This position provides nursing care and leadership to support the health and comfort of residents in a long term care setting. You will guide daily care, support communication, and ensure that nursing practices meet professional standards.

Requirements

Active authorization to practice as a Registered Nurse in Pennsylvania
Possession of a current, valid PA temporary practice permit or PA Registered Nurse license at the time of appointment
Ability to perform essential job functions
Satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance
Satisfactory completion of a medical examination may be required

Responsibilities

Provide nursing treatment, monitor conditions, and update care plans based on resident needs
Dispense medications, review records, and check that assigned personnel follow proper procedures
Guide staff, assign tasks, and address concerns to maintain safe and effective care
Share important changes with supervisors, physicians, and families as needed
Follow all safety rules, report hazards, and use required protective equipment
Maintain accurate records, complete assessments, and support audits and reviews
