Requirements

• Active authorization to practice as a Licensed Practice Nurse in Pennsylvania
• If possessing an active temporary practice permit, must obtain licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse within one (1) year
• Must be able to perform essential job functions
• Satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police and FBI clearance
• Satisfactory completion of a medical examination may be required

Nice To Haves

• If you are within 60 days of completing a licensed practical nursing program approved by the State Board of Nursing, you are eligible to apply

Responsibilities

• Assist the RN by checking resident health status and ensuring accurate and confidential documentation
• Administer medications and treatments, verify pharmacy orders, and maintain accurate records
• Observe residents for changes or concerns and report findings while documenting daily care activities
• Work with the RN to help plan and adjust resident care and participate in nursing committees when needed
• Ensure residents are clean, safe, and well groomed while supporting infection control practices
• Provide focused care for residents in specialty units such as Alzheimer care
