About The Position
The Registered Nurse develops, implements, and evaluates the nursing plan of patient care and implements the medical plan of care in collaboration with all disciplines. This role is based on the 3rd Floor, an advanced Progressive Care Unit (PCU) with 42 private and semi-private rooms. The team cares for patients with complex medical conditions, including orthopedic conditions, congestive heart failure, pneumonia, diabetic ketoacidosis, and sepsis. The position is per diem, with 36 hours scheduled over a six-week period and an average of 1.5 weekend shifts during that period, depending on unit needs. The nurse is also expected to work one winter and one summer holiday. Winter holidays include Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s; summer holidays include Memorial Day, the Fourth of July, and Labor Day.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
- Hold a Pennsylvania Registered Nurse license.
- Complete and maintain all competencies and trainings required for the role.
