About The Position
DaVita is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide dialysis care in a hospital setting for patients with end-stage renal disease and chronic kidney conditions. This fast-paced, collaborative role involves working directly with patients in ICU, CCU, ED, and other acute care units at facilities in Evanston, Chicago, Glenbrook, Skokie, and Highland Park. The schedule is full-time, with 6 a.m. or 12 p.m. start options, and includes regular and on-call shifts, weekends, and holidays. Nurses rotate between facilities as needed, and daily schedules may change based on patient needs. No dialysis experience is required; paid training is provided.
Requirements
- Current RN license in the state of practice.
- Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required.
- Must pass a color vision test; accommodations are available.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- ICU, CCU, ER, or Med/Surg experience is helpful but not required.
- CNN/CDN certification preferred.
Responsibilities
- Deliver inpatient dialysis therapies, including hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, CRRT, and apheresis.
- Collaborate with hospital teams and DaVita clinical staff.
- Monitor patients, adjust treatments, and ensure quality outcomes.
- Support and oversee patient care with the help of PCTs.
- Adapt quickly to a dynamic hospital environment.
