About The Position

This position is in a Rural Emergency Department with Med-Surg Unit, offering high-acuity emergency care and continuity of inpatient nursing. The Registered Nurse (RN) is responsible for utilizing the nursing process (assessment, diagnosis, outcomes/planning, implementation and evaluation) to provide individualized nursing care to patients. This role is suitable for both newly graduated RNs and experienced RNs, offering opportunities to work independently and collaboratively. The ideal candidate is positive, compassionate, hardworking, adaptable, a great communicator, detail-oriented, and possesses excellent time management skills. The nursing team is encouraged to be critical thinkers, and the Education team supports career growth with evidence-based practices and necessary skills/tools.

Requirements

  • Graduate from an accredited nursing program required, including, but not limited to, American Association of Colleges of Nursing (AACN), Accreditation Commission for Education in Nursing (ACEN), and National League for Nursing Commission for Nursing Education Accreditation (NLN CNEA).
  • Currently holds an unencunmbered RN license with the State Board of Nursing where the practice of nursing is occurring and/or possess multistate licensure if in a Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) state.
  • Obtains and subsequently maintains required department specific competencies and certifications.

Nice To Haves

  • Medical-Surgical nursing experience preferred
  • Emergency Department experience strongly desired
  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing preferred
