About The Position
The Emergency Department is seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to provide high-quality care in a fast-paced environment. The 64-bed unit includes 2 triage beds, 40 acute beds, 6 super track beds, 2 trauma beds, 10 CDU beds, and 6 psychiatric beds. Patients include newborns, pediatric, adult, and geriatric populations, with common diagnoses including stroke, sepsis, trauma, myocardial infarction, cardiac arrest, and respiratory failure. Specialty equipment includes a Rapid Infusor and Arctic Sun. This role works the evening shift from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM; block scheduling is not guaranteed. The nurse will provide care to assigned patients, including SANE cases, and participate in floating across various sections of the unit as required.
Requirements
- At least 2 years of Emergency Department experience, including pediatric experience.
- Travel nursing experience.
- Current AHA certifications in ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, and TNCC.
- Active RN license in New York; all other state licenses must be verified with a NURSYS report.
- Familiarity with the EPIC electronic medical record system.
Responsibilities
- Deliver quality nursing care to all assigned patients, including SANE cases.
- Participate in floating as required across various sections of the unit.
- Collaborate with the team to enhance patient care and outcomes.
