About The Position

Baptist Medical Center Beaches is seeking a compassionate and skilled Registered Nurse to join its Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) team. The nurse provides high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers, newborns, and families throughout the childbirth experience. This is a PRN, as-needed position on the night shift at the Beaches - Main Building in Jacksonville Beach, Florida.

Requirements

• Current Florida Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• BLS certification.
• Strong communication, critical thinking, and patient care skills.
• Diploma nurses must have 5+ years of progressive nursing experience.

Nice To Haves

• Additional maternal/child health certifications.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery, Mother/Baby, Women's Services, or a related specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care using the nursing process.
• Provide comprehensive nursing care for labor, delivery, recovery, postpartum, and newborn patients.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to support optimal patient outcomes.
• Educate patients and families about treatment plans, postpartum care, and newborn care.
• Advocate for patients and support individualized plans of care.
• Document patient care accurately and in accordance with hospital policies.
• Respond quickly and effectively to changes in patient condition.
