About The Position

This role is for an experienced Critical Care ICU Registered Nurse to join the Baptist Beaches ICU team on the Night Shift. New hires are eligible for a $5,000 Sign-on Bonus. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing care to patients with various medical, surgical, or other conditions, including chronic illnesses and minor injuries. This includes educating patients and families, interacting with physicians and other hospital departments, serving as a patient advocate, and participating in unit activities. The position requires knowledge of all areas of care to Gastroenterology and conscious sedation, with the ability to perform patient assessments pre/post procedure. This position also requires call. Diploma Nurses must have 5+ years of progressive care experience.
Requirements
- 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
- Hospital Experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
- Licensed Registered Nurse Required
- Associate of Science in Nursing Or Diploma Nurse
Nice To Haves
- 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
- Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
- Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred
- Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
- 5+ years of progressive care (for Diploma Nurses)
Responsibilities
- Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition, including chronic medical and minor injuries or illnesses
- Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
- Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
- Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
- Serve as patient advocate
- Participate in staff meetings and other unit activities
- Perform patient assessments pre/post procedure
- Provide care to Gastroenterology patients
- Administer conscious sedation
