About The Position

Baptist Jacksonville is looking for an experienced ICU Registered Nurse for Fulltime Nights. New hires are eligible for a $5,000 Sign-on Bonus. This role provides for patient needs through the nursing process, including patient and family education, serving as a patient advocate, and coordinating care for critical patients requiring a higher acuity of care. The Registered Nurse will provide care to patients requiring treatment for any medical, surgical, or other condition, embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement, educate patients and families, interact with physicians and other departments, coordinate care provided by ancillary services, and participate in staff meetings and other unit activities.

Requirements

  • Associate of Science in Nursing
  • 1-2 years Telemetry Experience
  • Hospital Experience
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Required
  • Licensed Registered Nurse Required

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor of Arts/Science (BA/BS)
  • 1-2 years Cardiac Experience Preferred
  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Preferred
  • Conscious Sedation Certification Preferred
  • Certified Critical Care Registered Nurse (CCRN) Preferred

Responsibilities

  • Provides for patient needs as recognized through use of the nursing process (assessment, planning, implementation, evaluation) and the mission statement; organization; supervision of care provided by supportive personnel and coordination of care provided by ancillary services
  • Including patients and significant others (SO)/families in developing an individualized plan of care
  • Education of patients/SO/families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Serves as patient advocate and responsible for providing care to critical patients that require a higher acuity of care.
  • Provide care to patients requiring treatment of any medical, surgical, or other condition
  • Embrace and uphold the hospital mission statement
  • Educate patients and families to their disease process and plan of care
  • Interact with physicians and other departments within the hospital
  • Coordinate care provided by ancillary services
