About The Position

The Registered Nurse (RN) is a professional caregiver accountable for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care. The RN uses the nursing process, technology, therapeutic interventions, evidence-based practice, and coordination with other health team members. The RN assesses patients’ physical, social, and psychological status, including cognitive, communicative, and developmental skills as appropriate, and gathers information from patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary team members. The RN promotes the nursing profession and the development of others. The role requires integrating legal and ethical standards into practice, complying with regulatory standards, practicing within the scope of licensure, documenting accurately and promptly, and understanding the legal implications of care delivery.
