About The Position

The Registered Nurse at AHMG Urology at Winter Garden provides nursing support in an outpatient urology practice at 2200 Fowler Grove Blvd, Suite 300, Winter Garden, Florida. The role assists with patient preparation, exams, treatments, specimen collection, clinical documentation, scheduling, referrals, and patient communications. The position follows AdventHealth’s safety and infection-control policies and exemplifies its core values: Keep Me Safe, Make It Easy, Love Me, and Own It. The schedule is full time, Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., on the day shift. The pay range is $31.85 to $52.76. An associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited school and an active Registered Nurse license and Basic Life Support certification are required. Professional nursing experience, preferably in a physician’s office, is preferred.

Requirements

Associate’s degree in nursing from an accredited school of nursing.
Registered Nurse (RN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Nice To Haves

At least one year of professional nursing experience; physician office experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Assist patients in preparation for exams and promptly collect specimens.
Prepare equipment and assist physicians during treatments and exams.
Perform general nursing activities to ensure quality care and efficient patient flow.
Oversee appointment scheduling and prioritize emergency situations.
Escort patients to exam rooms within 15 minutes of arrival.
Record patient vital signs and screen medical information.
Maintain and securely control medical supplies and medication counts.
Perform audio, vision, and spirometer tests for physical exams.
Respond to patient-related phone calls within two hours and call in prescriptions within 30 minutes.
Complete referrals and hospital admissions, and provide clear patient instructions.
Accurately document patient conditions, medication reactions, and phone conversations.
Maintain patient records and ensure notes and documents are filed correctly.
Follow CDC isolation guidelines, use personal protective equipment appropriately, perform hand hygiene according to policy, and enforce safety regulations.
