Registered Nurse - Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro
About The Position
The Registered Nurse delivers safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. The nurse provides direct patient care within the scope of practice and is accountable for the care of assigned patients. The role also involves directing and guiding patient and family teaching and the activities of other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care in the DOU. The nurse communicates patient clinical changes to physicians, including hemodynamic monitoring, diagnostic study results, abnormal results, and symptoms, and responds quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment. Patient privacy and confidentiality must be maintained. This full-time, day-shift position is in the Medical Surgical Ortho Neuro department at Prime Healthcare Mercy Medical Center in Aurora, Illinois. The schedule is 7:00 a.m. to 7:30 p.m., working three 12-hour shifts. A sign-on bonus of up to $10,000 is available for qualified candidates; eligibility and payout terms apply.
Requirements
- Current and valid State RN License.
- Current BLS (AHA) certificate upon hire and maintain current.
- Current ACLS certificate within 30 days of hire and maintain current.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
Responsibilities
