About The Position

Registered Nurse position on a 32-bed Medical Surgical Neuro unit. The role offers a 36- or 48-hour schedule option, with hours beyond 48 per week paid as overtime. The nurse-to-patient ratio is 1:6. The unit accepts first-time travelers. The position involves no call, floating to like units, and a weekend requirement of six weekend shifts within six weeks. Epic is used for charting.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent experience.
• BLS certification required; pending certification is accepted.
• NIHSS required; pending certification is accepted.

Nice To Haves

• CPI certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care on a Medical Surgical Neuro unit with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:6.
• Activate the rapid response team when needed.
• Float to like units.
• Work six weekend shifts within each six-week period.
