About The Position

Pulse Heart Institute, part of MultiCare, is a physician-led institute with multidisciplinary partnerships across cardiothoracic surgery, vascular, and cardiovascular service lines. It provides cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care, including complex structural heart disease and interventions, advanced heart failure services, and advanced imaging. The hospital-based staff RN provides specialized nursing care as part of a multidisciplinary team. The role supports patient-centered clinical decision-making, open communication, professional development, and quality improvement. This position is listed at 0.9 FTE, with day shifts and a variable schedule.

Requirements

Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
Current BLS certification.
ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
Certification in a specialty area.
One year of experience in an acute care setting.

Responsibilities

Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process, following hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care, patient experience, and cost effectiveness.
Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
