Pulse Registered Nurse Cardiovascular Intensive Care
About The Position
Pulse Heart Institute, part of MultiCare, is a physician-led institute with multidisciplinary partnerships across cardiothoracic surgery, vascular, and cardiovascular services. Its programs provide cardiac, thoracic, and vascular care, including complex structural heart disease interventions, advanced heart failure services, and advanced imaging. The staff Registered Nurse joins a hospital-based multidisciplinary team and uses specialized nursing knowledge and training to provide patient care. Nurses are supported in participating in clinical decision-making, communicating with colleagues, and developing professionally. The position is 0.9 FTE, on nights, with a variable schedule.
Requirements
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington State or Multistate License endorsement (MLS).
- Current BLS certification.
- ACLS, NALS, PALS, TNCC, or NRP certification, as required by the facility or department.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN).
- Certification in a specialty area.
- One year of experience in an acute care setting.
Responsibilities
- Organize patient care by prioritizing, delegating, delivering, and evaluating care on an ongoing basis.
- Use nursing education and experience to deliver care through the nursing process in accordance with hospital policies, procedures, and protocols.
- Collaborate with the nursing team to improve quality of care and patient experience while reducing costs.
- Foster a learning environment for patients, families, nursing staff, and other members of the health care team.
- Advocate for ethical, holistic care that promotes the autonomy, dignity, and health of patients from diverse ethnic and social backgrounds.
