About The Position

Emplify Health by Gundersen is seeking a Registered Nurse to join our 20-bed Inpatient Rehabilitation Unit in the beautiful Coulee Region of Wisconsin. This is an opportunity to build meaningful relationships with patients and families while helping individuals recover, regain independence, and achieve their highest level of function. The role involves providing care to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, debility, and other complex medical conditions. The nurse will teach patients and families necessary skills for recovery and independence, develop relationships, and collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals. The position offers exposure to a diverse rehabilitation population, strengthening skills in patient education, care coordination, critical thinking, and clinical assessment.

Requirements

• Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) required
• Current RN licensure in Wisconsin upon hire
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification for Healthcare Providers

Responsibilities

• Provide Love + Medicine to patients recovering from stroke, brain injury, spinal cord injury, amputation, debility, and other complex medical conditions.
• Teach patients and families the skills, strategies, and self-care techniques needed to support recovery and maximize independence after discharge.
• Develop meaningful relationships with patients and families as you support them throughout their rehabilitation journey.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team that includes physical therapists, occupational therapists, speech-language pathologists, social workers, CNAs, and fellow RNs to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
• Support patients as they work toward improved mobility, function, confidence, and quality of life.
