About The Position

Baptist South is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for a full-time night position in the Cardiac Respiratory PCU. The nurse provides patient care using the nursing process, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation, while upholding the hospital’s mission. The role includes organizing and supervising care provided by supportive personnel and coordinating care from ancillary services. Nurses involve patients and their significant others or families in individualized care planning, educate them about disease processes and plans of care, and act as patient advocates. The role also involves caring for patients with medical, surgical, chronic, and other conditions, interacting with physicians and other hospital departments, and participating in staff meetings and unit activities.

Requirements

Associate of Science in Nursing.
Licensed Registered Nurse.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Hospital experience.
Telemetry experience (1–2 years).

Nice To Haves

Bachelor of Arts or Science (BA/BS) degree preferred.
1–2 years of cardiac experience preferred.

Responsibilities

Provide patient care using assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation.
