About The Position
The Registered Nurse (RN) works on a 24-bed unit with a staff of 45. Patient ratios are 1:5/6. The day-shift staffing composition includes one charge nurse, five RNs, three patient care technicians, and one secretary. Night-shift staffing includes one charge nurse, five RNs, and three patient care technicians. The electronic medical records system is MEDITECH. Typical procedures include Foley insertion, PIV placement, blood draws, and code stroke initiation. The RN may be asked to float to the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) or Medical Surgical Unit. Royal blue scrubs are required. The schedule requires working every other weekend. This position has a 13-week contract length.
Requirements
- At least 1 year of experience.
- Registered Nurse (RN) certification.
- NIH competency.
- ACLS certification.
- BLS certification.
- Personable and able to work effectively as part of a team.

- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
- Relevant certifications.
Responsibilities
