Registered Nurse Per Diem B105 Practice
About The Position
Coordinates a patient-focused team in providing direct and collaborative health care in a variety of clinical settings, with the goal of promoting and restoring optimal health across the life span. Uses all components of the nursing process and provides care that reflects an understanding of individual, cultural, and religious differences and needs, as well as recognition of patient rights. Applies case-management knowledge and expertise to provide comprehensive, coordinated, seamless care to individuals and aggregate groups. Coordinates, integrates, and facilitates the patient/provider relationship along the continuum of care. This is a per diem day-shift role with varied hours, paying $69.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license.
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association (AHA).
- At least 3 years of experience, including ambulatory experience.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Nursing preferred.
Responsibilities
- Identify immediate and long-range plans for patient care, involving the patient and family in the plan.
- Set priorities for patient needs and make decisions reflecting sound judgment.
- Monitor patients’ clinical status and assess for significant changes.
- Communicate clearly with patients, family members, physicians, and team members to ensure patient needs are met.
- Safely administer medications on time and in accordance with hospital policies.
- Perform venipuncture and safely start intravenous lines.
